The purpose of this learning community is to help campus and district administrators create, implement and sustain a 21st century technology plan where teachers receive relevant on-going staff development that will help them integrate a variety of rich content, relevant technology tools, and on-line learning communities into teaching and learning. In this wiki community we will gather and analyze data, ask questions, find solutions, share quality resources and more.
According to STaR Chart data, the greatest area of need in our district is in Educator Preparation and Development. This past summer we were able to hire a full time instructional technologist to share across the district. One of the goals of the East Central Technology Department is to increase the amount of ongoing relevant staff development on all campuses. Some campus leaders have made a commitment to mandatory monthly meetings for all staff members, while other campuses have requested very little training.
